The Laxey Village Christmas Market Trams
Dates: Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd November
Don't battle to find a parking space... catch the Manx Electric Railway trams to The Laxey Village Christmas Markets to commence your family's festive period.
The annual fabulous festive fayre is back at The Laxey Village Institute. Wonderful crafted Christmas cards, gifts and produce, our lovely cafe full with tempting meals and homemade cakes and of course a visit from the big man himself Santa.
Trams depart from Derby Castle in Douglas, and take you to Laxey. You can board and alight at any of the usual location in between.
Standard tram fares apply. Go Platinum, Go Silver, Go Gold and Go Gold+1 or 2 carer cards are also accepted. Please note that you will only gain FREE entry to the fayre upon production of a valid and dated paper ticket purchased on the day of travel. You cannot use any type of Go Card to gain entry.
Special offer: One child between the ages of 5-15 will travel FREE with each standard full fare paying adult. Under 5's travel for FREE.
Fro'Zen' at the Glen
All Aboard the Magic Tram to Santa’s Grotto at Zen at the Glen, departing from Laxey Station!
This Christmas, step into a winter wonderland like no other. Hop aboard our Manx Electric Railway Tram and journey through a snowy landscape to the enchanting Zen at the Glen, where the magic of Christmas truly comes alive.
As you arrive, expect a snowy spectacular and a warm festive welcome. You’ll be greeted by cheerful festive characters, twinkling lights, and the scent of toasted marshmallows over cosy fire pits.
Meet Zenta Clause and his mischievous elves in their charming grotto – every child will receive a special gift from Santa to remember their magical visit.

Please note: Our Christmas Santa’s Grotto at Zen at the Glen is weather-dependent. In the event of severe weather, the grotto may be cancelled for safety reasons. We’ll do our best to provide alternative dates where possible and keep you updated.

Tinsel Trams to the Santa Trains
Dates: Saturday 13th, Sunday 14th, Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st December
Don't battle to find a parking space... catch the Tinsel Tram to the Groudle Glen Railway Santa Trains to start your family's festive day out in a magical way.
Trams depart Derby Castle in Douglas, take you to Groudle... and then once you've seen Santa and enjoyed the festive refreshments... the trams will bring you back again.
Tickets MUST be booked in advance online at www.ggr.org.uk.
You MUST book a separate outward ticket and return ticket.
Trams depart from Derby Castle in Douglas to Groudle Old Road (at the top of the holiday village) and back again.
Return Prices are only:
£3 for Adults
£2 for Children
Family Saver £10 for up to 2 adults and 3 children.

Santa's Party Trains
Dates: Saturday 13th, Sunday 14th & Saturday 20th December
Do you enjoy Festive Magic? What about a Christmas Singalong? Elf face painting delights, a technicolour balloon artist or Santa Claus with a HO! HO! HO!
There is something for everyone on ‘Santa’s Party Train’ as carriage by carriage you will share a one hour experience with lots of entertainment and laughter.
Nine one hour shows running in 2025 so don’t miss out with family and friends on this bauble extravaganza of glorious fun.

New for 2025, we have glittering ‘Santa's Party Trains’ for all the family with a whole host of festive surprises on board. Fro'Zen' at the Glen on the Manx Electric Railway, a Pantocrime Murder Mystery to solve aboard the loco and the gastronomic dining finale of the season with The Great Gatsby New Year’s Eve train.
