Current Service Disruption

Service X3 | 6 April 2026 - Further Notice

Due to restricted access caused by low hanging tree branches, the Service X3 is unable to serve Clifton Drive or Thornhill Park until further notice. Service to Mooragh Promenade and Ramsey & District Cottage Hospital will be maintained.

St Marks - Eairy

Due to this closure there are changes to the following services:

The morning Service 14 is unable to serve the section of route between Braaid, St Marks, Tosaby Road and Eairy.
The afternoon Service 8 diverts from St Marks via Braaid and Garth to Eairy Dam and Foxdale.

Service 8 Alteration | Saturday 15 August

With effect from Saturday 15 August Service 8/8s journeys operate to the Fridays timetable on Saturdays.

Departures from Peel:
0800 (Ser 4) | 0905 | 1105 | 1305 | 1505

Departures from Port Erin:
1003 | 1203 | 1403 | 1603 | 1713

Journeys between Port Erin and The Sound are not changed

Evening road closures between Braddan Bridge and Ashlar Drive | Tuesday 8, Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 September 2026

The Peel Road between Braddan Bridge and Ashlar Drive in Union Mills is to be closed each evening from 1800 to 0600 the next morning.

During these closures the Service 6 departure from Lord Street at 1837 and the Service 6

departures from Peel at 1845, 1945 & 2245 divert via Strang between Union Mills and Braddan

Bridge - therefore not serving the stops at Snugborough, Ashlar Drive and Braddan Church.

National Cycling Championships Road Race | Saturday 12 September 2026

The Douglas to Foxdale Road is closed between Braaid and Garth crossroads from 1230 to 1630.

Diversions to Service 4b

The 1208 departure from Peel diverts from The Hope via Ballacraine, Crosby and Glen Darragh Road to Braaid crossroads.
The 1515 departure from Douglas diverts from Braaid crossroads via Glen Darragh Road, Crosby and Ballacraine to The Hope.

End to End Walk | Sunday 13 September 2026

Due to anticipated traffic congestion between Cregneash Village and at The Sound buses operate on this day as follows.

The only departures from Port Erin to Calf Sound are the Service 8s journeys at 0856, 0956 and 1105.

Departures from the Sound are at 0940, 1040 and 1140.

The Service 8s departures from Port Erin at 1156, 1305, 1356, 1505 and 1556 operate to Cregneash car park only.

These journeys then depart Cregneash car park stop at 1245, 1345, 1445, 1545 & 1655.

Douglas Criterium Cycle Racing | Sunday 13 September 2026

Due to the closure of a section of Lord Street between 0800 and 1400 NO buses are able to depart the Lord Street bus stands during this period.

All bus departures are from the loading bay at the start of Loch Promenade (near to the rear of Peveril Buildings) - with these journeys departing 2 minutes before the scheduled Lord Street time.

Buses to Peel, Port Erin and Anagh then divert via Finch Road and Circular Road to the Brown Bobby.

Buses to Ramsey and Willaston then divert via Finch Road to Bucks Road.

Buses arriving in Douglas from Peel, Port Erin and Ramsey terminate at the Loch Promenade bottleneck car park stop.

Due to the road closures in connection with this event, the 0859 and 0959 Service 2 journeys are unable to serve the Victoria Street bus shelter.  These journeys commence from the Granville Street stop on Loch Promenade at 0900 and 1000.

For each closure, as soon as notification is received that the road has re-opened then buses resume normal routes.
