Route Number
Every bus service has its own route number, for example:
Service 1 – Douglas to Port Erin
Service 3 – Douglas to Ramsey
X3 – Express service between Douglas and Ramsey
The route number is displayed on the front and side of the bus.
Direction of Travel
Timetables are, with the exception of a few circular services, separated into two directions:
Outbound (travelling away from the starting point)
Inbound (returning towards the starting point)
Always ensure you are reading the timetable for the direction you wish to travel.
Timing Points
Not every bus stop appears within a timetable. Instead, key "timing points" are shown. These are major stops where buses are scheduled to depart at specific times.
