Details of bus service alterations during the event
Practices:
Afternoon practice on Sunday 16 August
Roads closed 1245 until not later than 1800
Evening Practices between Monday 17 and Thursday 20 August
Roads closed 1800 until not later than 2100
Possible contingency road closure periods to be used if required
Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 August:
Roads Close 1230 until not later than 1700
Friday 21 August:
Roads closed 0930 until 1700*
*Option for additional evening session (1800 until not later than 2100)
Race Days:
Saturday 22 August
Roads closed 0930 until racing is finished (not later than 2100)
Monday 24 August , Wednesday 26 August & Friday 28 August
Roads Closed 0930 until 1700 and 1800 until not later than 2100 (evening closures only used if required)
Contingency Road Closure Periods
Sunday 23 August: Roads closed 1245 until not later than 1800
Tuesday 25 and Thursday 27 August: Roads Close 0930 until not later than 1700 and 1800 until not later than 2100 (evening closures only used if required)
Location Information
Banks Circus in Douglas
During busy periods scheduled departures from Banks Circus may not be possible. Anyone who normally boards their bus at Banks Circus are advised to travel on any available service to either Lord Street or Loch Promenade by any departure from Banks Circus.
Peel Promenade
Due to additional traffic during the MGP period buses do not serve the Peel Quayside and Promenade stops between Saturday 15 August and Saturday 29 August (inclusive).
Service 5/5c/6/6a/6c journeys operate from Tynwald Road via Albany Road to the Peel Town Hall stop. Service 5 journeys then depart at the scheduled Peel Town Hall departure time. Service 6/6a journeys depart 1 minute after the House of Manannan time to Peveril Road and Ballawattleworth.
Sunday 23 August
The normal Sundays timetable operates with additional journeys:
Service 3 - 2210 Douglas to Ramsey & 2310 Ramsey to Douglas
Ramsey Departures
During road closure periods all buses depart from the Christian Street/Albert Road site (opposite the Bus Station).
Strang Road
From Monday 17 August until Friday 28 August (inclusive) between 0900 - 1730 all Service 5, 5c and 6a departures from Peel to Douglas DO NOT serve Strang Road.
Buses divert via Snugborough & Braddan Bridge to Nobles Hospital (South Drive) - then to Douglas as normal. An additional temporary stop is located at the bottom of South Drive at Nobles Hospital. At times close to either side of the road closures buses travelling towards Peel may not serve Strang Road.
Wildlife Park
Buses do not serve the bus stop in the Wildlife Park from Friday 14 August to Monday 31 August. Buses travelling towards Ramsey stop at the car park entrance.
There is NO STOP for buses travelling towards Peel and Douglas.
Race Services
Buses to the TT Course on Race Days
Services 5, 5c, 6, 6a & 6c operate between Douglas and Peel (for the TT Course between Quarterbridge and Ballacraine) and then Peel and Ramsey (for the TT Course between Kirk Michael and Ramsey).
