Carriage of Wheelchairs and mobility scooters
We welcome passengers with standard-sized wheelchairs, provided they can be safely used and secured on the bus.
Wheelchairs: One occupied wheelchair may be carried on each bus.
Please watch the short video on gaining access via the ramp on our single decker bus.
Mobility Scooters: Only class 2 mobility scooters are permitted on designated services due to size and safety constraints. Users must gain operator approval prior to travel. Please complete the mobility scooter form and return as appropriate.
services are 21,21b & 21h but we are looking at extending the network in time once accessibility issues are addressed.
Class 3 Mobility scooters are not accepted on any of our services.

Ramp Accessibility: In areas without suitable pedestrian pavements, the ramp may not be usable, which could affect wheelchair access.
Pushchair Space: The allocated wheelchair space is primarily for wheelchair users. If unoccupied, up to two pushchairs may be carried, provided there is enough space.
Safety: Pushchairs must be securely positioned to avoid obstruction or hazards.
Priority: Passengers are required to vacate the wheelchair space for wheelchair users when needed.
Driver’s Discretion:
The driver has the final say on whether there is sufficient space available for wheelchairs or pushchairs.
Connect Minibus Services:
Passengers using wheelchairs or pushchairs must inform staff at the time of booking or by 4 pm the day prior to travel.
Vehicles on Connect minibus services are fitted with adjustable seatbelts for smaller children. Parents may bring booster seats if desired.
