One-way on Blackberry Lane

Due to emergency gas works, the bottom section of Blackberry Lane is one-way towards Summer Hill Road.

Therefore, Service 15 journeys returning from Onchan to Douglas divert from Main Road via Glencrutchery Road to Governors Bridge.

 

Nobles Hospital Equipment Replacement on Thursday 4 December 2025

Due to the use of a large crane, the main Hospital bus stop is unable to be served by buses from 0700 on Thursday 4 December up until 2000, or the equipment move is completed.

During the period of closure ALL buses serving Nobles Hospital proceed from South Drive to the temporary stop on the ’helicopter road’ - departing this stop at the time scheduled for the main entrance.

 

Closure in Union Mills on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 December 2025

Due to tree works, the A1 Douglas to Peel Road is to be closed at Union Mills between 0900 & 1700

Saturday 6 December

The Service 5 departures from Lord Street at 0907, 1007, 1107, 1207, 1307, 1407, 1507 & 1607 operate as Service 5a (or diverted 5c) and divert from Quarter Bridge via Spring Valley, Cooil Road, Braaid and Glen Darragh Road - therefore NOT serving Nobles Hospital, Strang, Union Mills and Ballagarey.

The Service 6 departures from Lord St at 0937, 1037, 1137, 1237, 1337, 1437 & 1537 divert from Quarter Bridge via Spring Valley, Cooil Road, Braaid and Glen Darragh Road - therefore NOT serving Union Mills and Ballagarey.

 

The Service 5 departures from Peel Town Hall at 0852, 0952, 1052, 1155, 1252, 1355, 1452 & 1552 operate as Service 5a (or diverted 5c) and divert from Glen Vine via Glen Darragh Road, Braaid, IOM Business Park and Vicarage Road to Braddan Bridge - therefore NOT serving Ballagarey, Union Mills, Strang and Nobles Hospital.

The Service 6 departures from Peel Town Hall at 0923, 1023, 1123, 1223, 1323, 1423, 1523 & 1623 (if road still closed) divert from Glen Vine via Glen Darragh Road, Braaid, IOM Business Park and Vicarage Road to Braddan Bridge - therefore NOT serving Ballagarey and Union Mills.

These diverted buses DO NOT serve Ballagarey, Union Mills, Strang or Nobles Hospital.

Services 22h & 25h continue to serve Nobles Hospital as normal with Service 22h still serving Strang.

Normal services resume with the 1637 departure from Lord Street and the 1652 departure from Peel Town Hall.

If the works are required on this day then the diversions shown above operate during the closure period.

 

Closure of Victoria Street on Saturday 6 December 2025 for the Santas on a Bike Event

The lower part of Victoria Street between Fort Street and Loch Promenade is closed from 0700 until approximately 1045.

During this period, all buses divert from Victoria Street via Fort Street to Lord Street - Service 1h, 2/2a & 11/11a journeys for Onchan/ Douglas Estates continue to the Promenades via Peveril Square.

A temporary stop operates from the loading bay outside Peveril buildings during the period that Victoria Street is closed to traffic.

In the event of inclement weather this event may take place on Sunday 7 December when the above diversions apply.

 

Young Farmers Tractor Run through Castletown on Saturday 6 December 2025

Due to a Northbound one-way system on Castle Street for the above event, the following departures from Castletown to Port Erin operate on diversion and serve the Bus Stop outside the Co-Op in Castletown Square:

1845 Service 12a       1905 Service 1       1925 Service 2a 

Diversion Route:

From Victoria Road via the Bypass, Red Gap, Farrants Way to Castletown Square Northbound then via Victoria Road and the By Pass to Ballakeighan. (buses serve all stops on the diversion route).
