Closure of Glenfaba Road in Peel Monday 18 August 2025 up to Sunday 14 September 

Due to the closure of Glenfaba Road between Ballaterson Farm entrance and Glenfaba Bridge until 14 September for water main works the following bus diversions operate.

Service 4/4b:

All journeys (except the 1615 and morning schoolday journeys shown below) divert via Tynwald Inn and the A1 between the DEFA offices and Peel Town Hall (& vice versa), therefore not serving Patrick Road, Patrick or North View.

The 1615 departure from Lord Street in Douglas operates to St Johns only – then via Patrick Road and Glen Maye to Niarbyl.

 

Service 4n:
During the road closure (18 August to 14 September) there are no direct buses between Peel Town Hall and Niarbyl except for 2 school journeys shown below.

Buses to Niarbyl from Douglas operate from Station Road, St. Johns via Patrick, Glen Maye and Dalby to then return to Douglas via the same route.

Departures from the DEFA offices or St. Johns United FC stops to Niarbyl are at 1019, 1149, 1449 and 1649.

Departures from Niarbyl at 1114 1411 
1457 (schooldays only to St. Johns),
1535 (school holidays),
1629 (schooldays 1620 journey with revised time)
1713 operate as timetabled.

Schooldays:

The 0808 Service 4b departure from Niarbyl diverts from Patrick via Patrick Road, St Johns and the A1 to Queen Elizabeth II High School and Peel Clothworkers School. 
The 0845 departure from Peel via Foxdale to Douglas operates late.

The 1457 Service 4n from Niarbyl to St Johns Primary School operates as timetabled.

The Service 4n from Peel (1540 QEII & 1545 Peel Clothworkers School) diverts via the A1, St Johns and Patrick Road to Glen Maye, Dalby and Niarbyl.

The 1620 Service 4 departure from Niarbyl operates at 1629 and diverts from Patrick via Patrick Road to the DEFA offices and DOES NOT serve Peel or the Tynwald Inn stops.
