Service 1/ 1a/ 1h/ 2/ 2a/ 11/ 11a/ 12/ 12a

During road closure periods all services to Promenades and Onchan are subject to delay and or cancellation

Practice/Qualifying days:

Monday 26 May - Daytime Practice Day:

  • Service 2 & 2a operate to & from Ballachrink as timetabled.
  • Service 11/a operate to Birch Hill at 0953, 1029 then 29 mins past each hour departing Victoria Street (Stand G).
  • Service 12/12a depart Birch Hill Shop at 52 minutes past each hour as timetabled.
  • Service 11/11a journeys between St Ninians and Lord Street are replaced by Service 22v.
  • Service 12/12a via Bucks Road is replaced between Lord Street and St Ninians by Service 22v.

The departures from Birch Hill still provide connections at Lord Street for journeys to Ronaldsway Airport, Castletown and Port Erin.

 

Evening Practice Nights:

  • Service 2 & 2a operate to & from Ballachrink as timetabled.
  • Service 11/11a operate to Birch Hill at 19 & 39 mins past each hour departing Victoria Street (Stand G).
  • Service 12 journeys depart Birch Hill at 38 & 58 minutes past each hour.

Service 3 & 3a

Practice/Qualifying days:

Evening Practice Nights:

  • The 1740, 1810, 1840, 1910, 1940 & 2010 Service 3/3a departures from Douglas (Lord Street) divert from
    Woodbourne Road via Derby Road, Broadway and Summerhill Road to the Manx Arms.

Upper Woodbourne Road and York Road are served by Service 22v journeys.

  • The 1740, 1810, 1840, 1910 & 1940 departures from Ramsey divert from the Manx Arms via Summer Hill and Promenades to Lord Street.

Daytime Practice Day:

  • Commencing with the 1010 journey all Service 3/3a departures from Douglas (Lord Street) buses divert from Ridgeway Street via Victoria Street, Promenads and Summerhill Road to the Manx Arms - therefore not serving Bucks Road, Rosemount or Woodbourne Road.
  • Upper Woodbourne Road and York Road are served by Service 22v journeys.
  • Commencing with the 1010 journey all Service 3/3a departures from Ramsey divert from the Manx Arms via Summer Hill and Promenades to Lord Street until the TT Course has re-opened.

Race Days:

  • Commencing with the first departure from Douglas (Lord Street) to Ramsey less than 30 minutes before the roads are due to close, buses divert from Ridgeway Street via Victoria Street, Promenads and
    Summerhill Road to the Manx Arms - therefore not serving Bucks Road, Rosemount or Woodbourne Road.
  • Commencing with the first departure from Onchan to Lower Douglas less than 20 minutes before the roads are due to close, buses divert from Whitebridge Road via Royal Avenue, Port Jack and the
    Promenades to Lord Street.

During the period of enhanced TT timetable (Friday 30 May to Saturday 8 June) the 1740, 1840 & 1940 departures from Lord Street and the 1640, 1740 & 1840 departures from Ramsey operate as Service 3 and not 3a.

Additional Service 3a journeys to serve Victoria Road operate as follows:

Service X3

  • During the period Friday 23 May to Thursday 5 June all Service X3 journeys operate via the Coast Road.
  • Due to operational needs, between Tuesday 27 May and Thursday 5 June the evening Service X3
    departures from the IOM Business Park may require a change of bus. The departs from Douglas, Lord Street at 1705 & 1735 may operate as normal Service 3/3a journeys.
  • Bank Holiday: On Monday 26 May and Friday 6 June the Service X3 does not operate.

 

Service 4/ 4b/ 4n/ 14 & 14b

Practice/Qualifying days:

Evening Practices:  Tuesday 27, Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 May

  • The 1748 Service 4b departure from Douglas diverts from Circular Road via Peel Road and Groves Road to New Castletown Road - therefore NOT serving Westmoreland Road, Mount Bradda, Selbourne Road and Alexander Drive.
  • The 1713 & 1807 Service 4 departures from Peel divert via Groves Road.

Daytime Practice:  Friday 30 May

  • Service 4/4b: The 1515 departure from Douglas and 1613 departures from Peel are cancelled.
  • The 1208 departures from Peel divert from the IOM Business Park via Cooil Road, Spring Valley, Groves Road and Peel Road to Circular Road.
  • The 1215 14c & 1355 14b departures from Douglas diverts from Circular Road via Peel Road and Groves Road to Saddle Road - diverting on return from Cooil Road via Groves Road and Peel Road to Circular Road.

Race Days:

Saturdays 31 May & 8 June:

  • The 0715, 1615 and 1748 departures from Douglas and the 0800 and 1713 departures from Peel operate as timetabled (with the diversions shown above if required).
  • The 1115 & 1515 departures from Douglas and 1208 & 1608 departures from Peel and cancelled.

Sunday 1 June and Bank Holiday Friday 6 June:

  • The Bank Holiday journeys (0800 from Peel and 1745 from Douglas) operate as timetabled,
    with diversions where required.

Monday 2 June to Thursday 6 June (includes contingency days):

  • The Service 4/4b departures from Douglas at 0915 & 1115 and the departures from Peel at 1008 &1208 are cancelled.
  • The 1315 Service 4 (continuing to Niarbyl) operates as timetabled.
  • Then 1515 Service 4b diverts from Lord Street via White Hoe & Cooil Road to IOM Business park
    then as timetabled
  • Service 14b/14c: The 1015, 1215 and 1345 departures from Douglas divert from Circular Road via Peel Road and Groves Road to Saddle Road - diverting on return from Cooil Road via Groves Road and Peel Road to Circular Road.
  • The Service 4n journeys operate as per timetable.
  • The Service 14 (Tuesday & Thursday) departures from Douglas at 1140 & 1430 operate as timetabled. The Castletown departures at 1227 and 1517 divert from IOM Business Park via Cooil Road, Groves Road and Peel Road to Circular Road.

 

Service 15/15b

Race Days:

  • Service 15 journeys departing Douglas divert from Harris Promenade via Central & Queens Promenade to Summerhill Road. Journeys departing Onchan divert from Summerhill via Queens and Central
    Promenades, to Harris Promenade
  • Service 15b journeys operate as timetabled.

 

 

Service 5/ 5a/ 5c/ 6/ 6a/ 6c                   

Practice, Qualifying and Race days:

  • Commencing with the first departure from Douglas (Lord Street) to Peel less than 40 minutes before the roads are due to close, buses divert from Douglas via Foxdale to St Johns and Peel until the roads
    re-open.
  • Commencing with the first departure from Peel to Douglas less than 40 minutes before the roads are due to close, buses divert from St Johns via Foxdale to Douglas until the roads re-open.
  • Diverted services operate from Castletown Road via Springfield Road and Alder Road to Groves Road
  • Service 5 journeys departing Douglas within 60 minutes of road closure serve Nobles Hospital but DO NOT serve Strang.
    Service 5 journeys departing Douglas within 40 minutes of road closure DO NOT serve Strang or
    Nobles Hospital .
  • Commencing with the first departure from either Peel to Ramsey or Ramsey to Peel less than 35 minutes before the roads are due to close all services are cancelled until the roads re-open.
  • The 1707 Service 5 is the last guaranteed journey to serve Crosby - Greeba - Ballacraine before roads close.
  • The 1722 Service 5a diverts from Glen Darragh Road
  • When roads are due to close at 1800 the 1737 Service 6c does not operate - please use 1748 Service 4b departing Lord Street Stand A for travel to St Johns & Peel

 

 

Service 21/ 21b/ 21h            

Evening Practice Nights and Sunday/Bank Holiday Daytime Closures:

  • During the closure of the TT Course the Service 21h departures from Lower Douglas operate as far as the Meadow Crescent roundabout - departing from the Heather View stop on Vicarage Road at the scheduled time.

Race Days:

  • If there is severe congestion on New Castletown Road or Pulrose Bridge when the TT Course is closed then journeys departing Anagh Coar are subject to diversion via Kewaigue and White Hoe to Lord Street (with diverted Service 5/6 journeys serving the Alder Road stop).

 

 

Service 22/ 22h/ 25 & 25h

Practice, Qualifying and Race days:

  • Commencing with first departures from Douglas (Lord Street) less than 30 minutes before the roads are due to close, Service 22, 22h, 25 & 25h between Lower Douglas and Willaston are replaced by
    Service 22v which operates via Bucks Road, Somerset Road to St Ninians then Ballaquayle Road to
    Victoria Road (Shoprite) - then returning via York Road, Woodbourne Road and Bucks Road to Lower Douglas.
  • When the roads are closed the Service 22v replaces Services 11 & 12 along Bucks Road & Woodbourne Road and continues until the roads re-open.
  • Inside the TT Course Service 22k operates between St Ninians, Willaston and Nobles Hospital until the roads re-open.

In the event of delays on Race Days the evening practice nights changes and diversions are followed.

On delayed Race Days when the TT Course re-opens between 1700 and 1800 buses continue to follow the diversion routes with the exception of the journeys below which can safely use  the TT Course while it is open to normal traffic.

1705 Service X3 departure from Douglas, Lord Street - via Rosemount and Victoria Road.

1710 Service 3 departure from Douglas, Lord Street - via Rosemount and  Glencrutchery Road.

1707 Service 5 departure from Douglas, Lord Street - (serving Nobles Hospital but NOT Strang) operating to Peel Town Hall and Ballawattleworth only.

1722 Service 5a departure from Douglas, Lord Street.

1645 Service 6c (enhanced timetable) departure from Ramsey to Peel.

1650 Service 5 departure from Peel to Ramsey (1607 from Douglas via Foxdale).

1730 Service 5 departure from Ramsey to Peel.

1651 Service 1a departure from Nobles Hospital via Hailwood Avenue, Hillberry Road, Royal Avenue and the Promenades as timetabled.

1725 Service 25 from Lord Street operates to Victoria Road, Onchan and Birch Hill returning via Avondale Road, Royal Avenue and Promenades to Lord Street.
