Road Closure periods

Sunday 17 August - Roads closed 1245 until not later than 1800

Monday 18 and Thursday 21 August Roads closed 1800 until not later than 2100

Possible contingency road closure periods to be used if required - Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 August:  Roads Close 1230 until not later than 1700

 

Friday 22 August - Roads closed 1230 until 1700* *Option for additional evening session (1800 until not later than 2100)

Saturday 23 August - Roads closed 0930 until racing is finished (not later than 2100)

Monday 25 August - Roads Closed 0930 until racing is finished (not later than 2100)

Wednesday 27 August & Friday 29 August - Roads Closed 0930 until 1700 and 1800 until not later than 2100 (evening closures only used if required)

Monday 25 August extra journeys

at the end of racing an extra Service 5a journey departs Ramsey Bus Station 10 minutes after the roads re-opens which operates via Sulby, Ballaugh, Kirk Michael, Peel, St Johns, Crosby, Union Mills to Douglas.

An additional Service 5a journey departs Peel 0815 - serving St Johns (Tynwald Inn) 0823, Crosby 0831 and Union Mills 0836 to arrive in Douglas at 0851.

 The 0807 Service 5 from Douglas to Peel continues to Ramsey

An additional Service 5 departs Ramsey at 0800 - serving Sulby 0810 - Ballaugh 0817 - Kirk Michael 0823 then as timetabled from Peel at 0850

The 0907 Service 5 operates to Peel at 0847 running 20 minutes early throughout.
 This service serves Nobles Hospital but does not serve Strang.

The 0907 Service 5 operates to Nobles Hospital only

The 0910 Service 5 from Ramsey to Peel departs at 0855 and operates 15 minutes earlier until Peel.  This Service then diverts from St John’s via Foxdale to Douglas.

 

Additional changes

Departures from Banks Circus, Douglas
During MGP 2025 scheduled departures from Banks Circus may not be possible. Anyone who normally boards their bus at Banks Circus is advised to travel to either Lord Street or Loch Promenade by any departure from Banks Circus.


Ramsey Departure Point
During MGP 2024 all bus departures when the TT Course is closed are from the vacant site on Albert Road opposite Ramsey Bus Station.


Wildlife Park
From Friday 16 August until Monday 1 September buses do not serve the bus shelter in the Wildlife Park
Buses travelling toward Ramsey stop at the car park entrance.
Buses travelling toward Kirk Michael for Peel DO NOT stop at the wildlife Park during this period.


Strang
Between Monday 18 August and Friday 29 August (inclusive)
Service 5/5c journeys between Peel and Douglas DO NOT serve Strang Road or Strang crossroads between 0900 & 1730.
For travel from Strang to Douglas a temporary stop is located on Nobles Hospital South Drive close to the Cronk Griannagh junction.


Peel Promenade
Buses do not serve the Peel Quayside and Promenade stops between Saturday 16 August and Saturday 30 August (inclusive).
Service 5/5c/6/6a/6c journeys operate from Tynwald Road via Albany Road to the Peel Town Hall stop.
Service 5 journeys then depart at the scheduled Peel Town Hall departure time.
Service 6/6a journeys to Ballawattleworth depart Peel Town Hall 1 minute after the House of Manannan time to Peveril Road and Ballawattleworth.
