Below are the details of how bus journeys are disrupted by this years Parish Walk
Douglas to Peel
The road is closed from Union Mills to Crosby between 0820 and 1030.
The 0802, 0907, 0937 & 1007 Service 5/6 departures from Douglas (Lord Street) are permitted to travel between Union Mills and Crosby but may experience delays.
To avoid the period of maximum congestion, the 0832 Service 6 departure from Douglas (Lord Street) diverts from Quarter Bridge via Spring Valley, Cooil Road and Foxdale to St. Johns.
The 0815 & 0923 Service 6/6c departures from Peel divert from St. Johns (Station Road) via Foxdale, Cooil and Quarter Bridge to Peel Road.
The 0852 & 0952 Service 5 departures from Peel are permitted to travel between Crosby and Union Mills but may experience delays.
Peel Town Hall
Derby Road in Peel is closed between the Albany Road junction and Athol Place from 1230 to 1830 which results in buses being unable to serve the Peel Town Hall bus stop.
During this period services operate as below.
Services to Douglas:
Depart the Albany Road garage stop at 1 minute after the time scheduled for the Town Hall stop.
Buses for Ramsey:
Depart the Supermarket Stop on Derby Road 1 minute after the time scheduled for the Town Hall stop.
Buses serving the House of Manannan, Peel Promenade & Ballawattleworth operate as per timetable.
The 1607, 1707 & 1737 departures from Douglas, Lord Street divert from Albany Road straight to the Supermarket stop on Derby Road and depart 1 minute after the Town Hall time.
Between 1430 & 2000 all service 5 journeys to and from Ramsey operate as a 5c via Poortown Road and Cronk-y-Voddy and NOT via the Coast Road
Peel to Kirk Michael Coast Road
A one-way system is in operation on the Peel to Kirk Michael coast road between 1330 and 1900.
Due to this one-way system and the number of walkers’ support vehicles on this section of road the following Service 5 buses divert via Cronk-y-Voddy and Poortown Road between Kirk Michael and Derby Road in Peel (& vice versa) and therefore do not serve Oak Road.
Departing Peel (Derby Road):
1451, 1646, 1746, 1846 and 1946
Departing Kirk Michael:
1433, 1533, 1633, 1853 and 1953
Services 5c & 6c operate between Peel (Derby Road) and Kirk Michael as timetabled.
Sulby to Ramsey
June the following one-way system is in operation.
Towards Ramsey from Sulby (Ginger Hall) and the Glen Auldyn Road junction in Ramsey from 2100 to 0400 (Sunday).
The 2147 & 2339 Service 6a departures from Peel to Ramsey are unaffected.
The 2310 Service 5a departure from Ramsey to Peel diverts from Bowring Road via Jurby Road and St Judes to Sulby Bridge, therefore not serving the stops in Ramsey on Station Road, Bircham Avenue or Lezayre Road, the stops in Lezayre and the Ginger Hall stop in Sulby.
Port Erin to Colby and Ballabeg
A one-way system is in operation between Mount Gawne Road and Ballakillowey Roundabout between 1100 and 1430.
Due to this one-way system and the number of walkers’ support vehicles on this section of road the following Service 1h & 2 buses divert from Ballakillowey Roundabout via Church Road, New Castletown Road and Shore Road to Castletown.
Service 1h: 1114 1214 1314 1414
Service 2: 1054 1154 1254 1354
Therefore, these journeys DO NOT serve Colby or Ballabeg.
Douglas to Ramsey via Laxey
Road between Dhoon Glen and Minorca crossroads is one-way (southwards) from 2100 until 0700 (Sunday).
The following departures from Douglas to Ramsey during this period divert from Minorca crossroads via Ballaragh Road to Dhoon Glen.

Journeys from Ramsey to Douglas have no route change but may be subject to slight delay due to walkers.
